Frequently asked questions

Why are you called Carecrows?

Not to be confused with scarecrows, which are designed to discourage and unnerve, Carecrows is my definition of women who attract, encourage, support, and empower one another. Crows are beautiful, intelligent, curious, opportunistic, social and creative creatures. They choose solitude or company, whichever suits in a given moment, but they need one another to live healthy and happy lives. Crows have such presence and command. They simply captivate and enchant me. I chose the term Carecrows to represent the women I have the privilege of meeting and knowing, that to me embody the essence of the stunning crow.

Carecrows - Looking out for you.

What is coaching?

Coaching is like having someone be beside you through the rough times, and them cheering you on when you're soaring. That someone will gently hold up a mirror to show you any blindspots, and they'll share how they had breakthroughs with the same issues you have.

Your coach will be standing for you, even if it feels no one else in your life is. At least, that's what my experience of coaching is and that's the type of coaching I deliver.

Just as counsellors and therapists get support from one another, I as a coach regularly get coaching. I thought I could do it alone but as a mere mortal woman still facing health challenges, my coach stands for me and my greatness, just as I will for you.

Do you coach women who are not ill?

Absolutely. I'm here for every woman regardless of health.

Illness takes many forms, and it comes and goes. To coach you, I do not assess nor determine whether you are ill, or how ill you are. I trust you as the expert on your life.

How do you coach?

For now, I coach online although I would love to offer coaching in person when practical. The benefit of coaching online is that we can be anywhere in the world, wherever we feel most comfortable, and I can support you come rain, shine, pain flare or pyjamas.

What type of coaching do you offer?

I have trained as a Relationship Coach, under guidance of a coaching organisation with 20+ years of expertise. Using proven methodologies, I support women with their relationships.

This could be relationships with people at home, work and beyond. As women, we also have lifelong relationships with ourselves and our bodies - these can be the hardest to live with when we're facing a health challenge of any kind.

The relationship you desire support for might be with food, exercise, your career, your environment and so on.

You get to define your relationships, and I stand for the relationships that matter to you.
